Chemical peels are performed by plastic surgeons to restore skin to a more acceptable condition that has been damaged by the sun, is blemished, wrinkled or unevenly pigmented. For this procedure a chemical solution is applied to the skin to peel away the top layers. Chemical peels are most successful when used on patients with fair, thin skin who have superficial wrinkles, Visit ASPS for more information.
